Great Western AIRE  in the Community

From the fall of 1996 until spring of 2001, Great Western Aire proudly sponsored the brand new at the time elementary school, Copper Hills Elementary. We helped support their annual "Country Faire" and Silent Auction fundraiser and eventually as the school grew, and the music program grew, we helped to support the CH Miner's Band and Orchestra.

From 2003 to spring 2018, GWAire proudly sponsored the multiple award winning Buchanan High School Band & Color Guard, and the mega multiple award winning Buchanan High School Jazz Ensembles who along with the Alta Sierra Intermediate School Jazz bands was under the direction of Mr. Paul Shaghoian and then Mr. Paul Lucckesi  (who were/are both accomplished musicians in their own right,) and Lucckesi who can now add "Jazz Educator of the Year" and  "3 time Downbeat Magazine award winner" to the long list of accomplishments for himself and the Buchanan Area Jazz Bands.  And, we can not forget to mention the Buchanan Area Orchestras, previously led by the amazing Heidi Franklin until fall 2017.

We are proud to add that our company, with the help of a few enthusiastic customers were able to make a contribution to the La Sierra Creative Arts Camp which in turn provides scholarships to the camp each year! It was our privilege and an honor to support these great programs, the students and the directors from 2003 to spring 2018.

Without the support of the community and companies such as ours, programs such as these would cease to exist. In most of the public school systems, music programs get little to no district or government funding (most of it goes to sports) so community involvement is so very important. To learn more about these wonderful directors, great students and their outstanding accomplishments, or to learn how you can sponsor a student or make a corporate donation to any of these programs, click on over and get involved today! If you are not in a position to make a monetary contribution, then please consider attending a concert, festival or participating in one of their fundraisers to show your support. When the kids look out in to the audience and see that almost all the seats are filled, it really makes a difference! Most of the concerts put on by these directors are free, but contributions are always graciously accepted.

NOW MORE THAN EVER YOUR HELP IS NEEDED - AWARD WINNING PROGRAMS ALL OVER THE STATE ARE BEING SHUT DOWN/CANCELED/CLOSED DUE TO BUDGET ISSUES - PLEASE HELP PREVENT THESE PROGRAMS FROM BEING SHUT DOWN AND MAKE YOUR TAX DEDUCTIBLE CONTRIBUTION TO THESE VERY WORTHY PROGRAMS TODAY.
