GWAire in the Community
GWAire is a proud sponsor of the multiple award winning Buchanan High School Band & Color Guard, and the mega multiple award winning Buchanan High School Jazz Ensembles who along with the Alta Sierra Intermediate School Jazz bands is under the direction of Mr. Paul Lucckesi an accomplished musician in his own right who can now add "2 time Downbeat Magazine award winner" to the long list of accomplishments. And, we can not forget to mention the Buchanan Area Orchestras, led by the amazing Heidi Franklin.
Without the support of the community and companies such as ours, programs such as these would cease to exist. In most of the public school systems, music programs get little to no district or government funding so community involvement is so very important. To learn more about these wonderful directors, great students and their outstanding accomplishments, or to learn how you can sponsor a student or make a corporate donation to any of these programs, click on over and get involved today! If you are not in a position to make a monetary contribution, then please consider attending a concert, festival or participating in one of their fundraisers to show your support - every little bit helps! Most of the concerts put on by these directors are free, but contributions are always graciously accepted.
